The Breakfast Room

This was Ada’s favorite room in the entire mansion. The reason she loved the Breakfast Room so much was because she was an early riser and this room is especially lovely in the morning hours.

Considering Ada’s comfort, William decided to have the two far walls completely sound proofed because they back up to the kitchen. He did not want Ada to be disturbed by any kitchen noise. This was a very innovative feature for 1931. Take a moment to notice the pegged-oak hardwood floors and knotty pine paneling which are original to the home.
