Having been in the restaurant world for more than 20 years, Jason earned the title of Advanced Sommelier in 2017 and is now pursuing the Master Sommelier diploma. He is a long-time member of GuildSomm, and this year accepted a seat on its board. Most recently, Jason served as Wine Director for Maple & Ash in Scottsdale, AZ, and as Lead Sommelier at Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina in Scottsdale. He is also co-founder of the Society of Arizona Sommeliers, a group that is dedicated to educating and supporting aspiring sommeliers.
Jason embraces the opportunity to continue mentoring staff while building a world-class cellar. “Wrigley Mansion is a unique and stunning property with one of the largest wine programs in the country and a James Beard award-winning chef at Christopher’s,” says Jason. “I’m honored to be a part of it, especially at this time when Arizona is stepping up its dining and beverage scene.”
Positive and personable, Jason enjoys imparting wine knowledge in a fun and approachable way. “When I see lightbulbs go off and watch people start to understand more about wine, it is very rewarding,” says Jason. “A bottle of wine is 750 milliliters; it’s meant to be shared, just like the knowledge about it.”
